Our People

Cara A. McCoy, Firm Director

Cara is a North East Florida native born and raised in Historic St. Augustine, Florida. Upon graduating from High School with honors, she had aspirations of becoming a lawyer and immediately set out to develop her professional experience in the legal field. She began her career as a receptionist and legal secretary at a prominent St. Augustine criminal and family law firm.Based on her professional success Cara was subsequently employed as a paralegal with a statewide litigation law firm and in less than two years was promoted to the position of law firm manager.

While working full time, she attended St. John's River State College where she earned her A.S. Degree in Psychology. Over the years, Cara has fine-tuned her professional goals to managing the business and human resources aspect of law firms. She has a strong interest in Psychology and is actively pursuing her B.S. in Psychology at the University of North Florida. She is also a member of the St. Augustine Legal Secretary Association. Cara handles all aspects of firm administration at Wilkins von Mertz.
