Melanie A. Mucario, Esq., of counsel
Melanie graduated with honors from Old Dominion University in 1998 with a bachelor of science in political science. Melanie obtained her juris doctorate and master of business administration from Stetson University College of Law, where she graduated cum laude in December of 2001. While attending Stetson, Melanie held various leadership positions including Lt. Governor for the American Bar Association Law Student Division. Melanie’s honors while at Stetson included the Dean’s List, Elsie and Ed Jacob Endowed Scholarship, William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award and upon graduation received the Dean’s Award.
After graduation, Melanie was employed by two prominent law firms in Central Florida and practiced workers’ compensation and liability defense. In 2008 Mrs. Mucario started her own law firm and is of counsel to Wilkins | von Mertz. Melanie practices in the areas of workers' compensation, premises liability, auto negligence, mass tort litigation and insurance coverage issues on behalf of insurance companies and Fortune 1000 corporations. Melanie is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, Federal Court in the Middle District of Florida, Federal Bankruptcy Court and participates in the Guardian Ad Litem Program, assisting children in need of legal representation.
